Sariska was the first park in the world to successfully translocate tigers, receiving them from Ranthambore.
The ancient Neelkanth temples from the 8th–10th century are located inside the park.
Sariska Palace, built during the reign of Maharaja Jai Singh, sits at the park's edge.
The entire tiger population disappeared from Sariska by 2005 due to poaching before being reintroduced.
