Great Himalayan National Park was the 27th site in India to receive UNESCO World Heritage status.
The park is a source of five major rivers including the Beas and Tirthan.
Over 375 faunal species and 25 forest types have been recorded within the park.
The western Himalayan tahr and musk deer are among the flagship species here.
